    Default question about burning games

i have noticed mj_1107 talking about putting iso's on a cd-r and playing them on a playstation. I was wondering if there is a specific way to do this and/or do i need a mod chip

You need a CD burning program to do this of course. It's best to have Deamon Tools which you can find in the tools section. You use it to mount the image so your computer thinks you have another CD-Rom drive. You can then copy that new drive. You will need a modchip unless you want to use the Swap Method which can take a while to learn. I have made a guide to the swap trick, but it is on the other computer that my borther is using to write a report on at the moment. I will post it when I can get access to that computer.

I have heard of a way, but you still have to take your PS2 apart. The swap trick requires a PS1.

It looks like several people have d/led my Guide.
If you d/led it I would like to know what you think of it. I have searched many places on how to do the trick. I tried many methods. This is the method that works best for me. Tell me if you think it is good or not.

Edit. I am going to make this into a new thread with the guide.

I read this and dont fully understand. Does it allow copyd cd's to work on a non-modded PS2 and is it usable yet?

nice swap guide knowit man. however there is a few things I'd like to add from my experience for different ways of swapping. Once is if your afraid of taking your machine apart. Get yourself a boot disc, several online places sell them. Look anywhere that sells mod-chips. i've seen boot cd's range from $20 -$25 so not bad considering. Or if you have an older playstation not a ps one, and an older game shark say GS Pro V 3.X then you can use it to swap. You need something to hold the lid sensor down I go for toothpics as they conform a bit and are easy to remove. Then pop in an original game CD, with the lid open. once it loads into the gameshark go to explorer and play cd music. After checking the disc. the game should stop spinning at this point pop in your burn cancel out of the cd player and start you game with or without codes. most of the time your game will load but sometimes it takes a few tries. I had to do this until recently so if you have any questions feel free to pm or e-mail me.

My method doesn't take the thing apart.
