Default Tales of Phantasia GBA English Rom

Does anyone know if Tales of Phantasia GBA Rom is available in English. Or if there is anyway to translate it from Japanese?

I have the SNES version, but I've heard the GBA/PSX is better...

That's a mistake on gamespot's part, the game won't be coming out for NA, probably ever

there is a partial translation available for the gba version, but it ony translates the moves and the items. i lost hope of it coming out in America so i beat it in Japanese lol. if you have never beaten the game, i dont suggest playing it unless you use an faq to help. i beat the snes version before playing it, and the new features just merged with game as you go along. the gba version rocks, on a flash cart it has awsome graphics and everything.

It's kinda infuriating, isn't it? The game has had 3 separate releases thus far, and not one of them has come to North America. Bad Namco, bad. At least they did bring over Tales of Eternia, which is the most fun game in the series, IMO (although I don't speak for Tales of Destiny 2 or Symphonia).

tales fo eternia is a seperate game??? i thought it was called tales of destiny2: tales of eternia, or at least thats what my cd says when i put it in my playstation. hmm maby i only have tales of eternia, but i could of sworn it was tales of destiny 2:tales of eternia. well anyway yes it is infuriating nintendo is promoting that us Americans learn Japanese as a second language or at leats it seems lol. i want to play fire emblem the sealed sword which is the second release to the American fire emblem, and i could its rather easy with an American faq, but the game would be much more interesting if i knew what they were saying lol. if only a hex editor showed just the words of a japanese game, it could be easily translated, but unfortunately thats not the case

Yeah, Bolton, your confusion stems from the fact that Tales of Eternia was released in North America as Tales of Destiny 2, but then Namco released the PS2 installment of the series as Tales of Destiny 2 in Japan (another title which has yet to come to NA shores). I just used the Jap names, because it would sound contradictory in my post saying that Tales of Destiny 2 was the most fun, but I have yet to play Tales of Destiny 2 :p.

oh...so i do have tales of eternia in english which is tales of destiny2..cool actually it is a fun game. im on the second cd now, and now that my x-arcade controller came in wiht my gc ps1and2 and x-box plugin man that thing turns all my systems in an arcade machine. you havent lived till youve played an rpg arcade style lol. and tales of destinies real time fighting makes the arcade controller awsome lol. i heard in tales of destiny 2 you can run into klarth or some special bonus where you fight klarth from TOP is that true?, cause i hate looking at faq's till i beat the game, but if its in the game i dont want to miss it. so if someone tells me it will justify the fact i didnt use an faq (that way i can brag to my friends that i found it on my own lol)

Is there anyway I can get the PSX version, or an altered SNES version.

I really want to play the "Upgraded" version, but I don't speak Japanese, Nor do I have the memory to play PSX games on my computer.

the translated snes game is easy to find, but obviously if your here then your either too lazy to search google or searching just isnt your storn point. either way here this place should have the snes version.

If this is the right Taleds of Destiny 2 you're talking about (Eternia), then yes, Klarth appears, but you don't fight him. If you've seen the quizzes in Mintche, Klarth (or Clark, as the translation goes) gives you the second one.

However, you can fight Cless/Cress (and Arche, if you put the game in Hard/Hardcore mode prior to the fight). Once you beat the World Championships in Inferia City, he'll challenge you to a fight. Beat him to get Cress' Bandana (a Time element headgear) and the Eternal Sword (yes the Eternal Sword from ToP. A Time element weapon). If you beat Arche as well, she gives you the Arche Ribbon (headgear that resists all elements). The battle is tough though, and you'll probably need a lot of preparation. You deal 1/10 of your normal damage to him, and his attacks cannot be interrupted. While you're probably whacking away at him for 30-50 damage a hit (with his 9999 life total), he can deal a good 500+ damage per blow to you. Arche herself is a pansy, but you have to make sure you take her out before she casts her spells (especially Indignation. Ouch), and preferrably before Cress gets the chance to back her up. The rewards are worth the effort though, as the Eternal Sword is Reid's strongest weapon. Of course, then there's the other "hidden" boss to fight, which is even more troublesome unless you know what you're doing...

    *end spoiler*

Too bad tales-cless.org isn't having any real success on the PSX version...
