Iron Maiden - Losfer Words (Big Orra)

Since my copy of Powerslave (finally) came in, I have been listening to it non stop. This was the only song from it that I hadn't heard, and it's this awesome instrumental. Must comment on the brilliant cover art also...

Pain of Salvation - Used

Listening to The Perfect Element again. I like how the song just suddenly changes back and forth, and the solo rules.

Just came on :

Pain of Salvation - In The Flesh

Beautiful song, i love the vocals in this. The guitars are just great, and the last few minutes of this song are even greater.

Western Sky ~ Rationality Killed The Cat

Western Sky is a NH hardcore band. They're wicked good. I love screaming so much...it's incredible.

Indeed, screaming is the new Jesus.

Rise Against - Blood: Red, White, and Blue

Tim (The singer) has an awesome way of blending screaming and singing together that makes this song straight brill. Awesome lyrics, an example can be found in my sig. THIS SONG IS THE NEWER JESUS.

Some bands you need to check out - Converge, Between The Buried And Me, Mastodon, The Red Chord, Poison The Well, HORSE the band.

Mastodon - Shadows That Move

From 2001's Lifesblood that I picked up today, it showcases Brann Dailor's skills as a percussionist. Awesome Hardcore/Metalcore, something of which I'm a fan...

Pain of Salvation - Ashes (live)

From a show in Barcelona in 2002, downloaded the whole show(I think).
This is played in major instead of minor. Sounds very weird indeed. I prefer the original version of the song, but I suppose it doesn't sound too bad, just different.

Dream Theater - Take The Time

From the 'Images and Words' CD. I love this song, especially the funk part after the intro, and the keyboard solos.

Note to self: buy more DT as soon as possible...

Chimaira - Fascination Street

Tis is the best cover I have heard. The Cure's Fascination Street is a favourite of mine. And this is a very heavy cover, I was expecting them to ruin it, but they've done a great job...
