    The Cure - Maybe Someday

Very catchy opening riff, this song is from their return to form album, 2000's "Bloodflowers". Now that I'm further in, I realise the vocal melody is also quite infectious...

    Sigur Ros - Track 4

Georg uses an E-Bow on his bass in this song, gets a great tone out of it. Really relaxing stuff here, and I'm sleepy enough already. From the album with no track titles, "()"...

    Sepultura - Awake

Johnny's recent thread reminded me to check out some more thrash, so I decided to see what I could dig up on these guys. This track is quite a bit faster and heavier than most of Sepultura's later stuff, which is no bad thing. Slayer-style thrash at its best...

It's faster and heavier, because they went from Thrash, to Nu-Metal. The bastards. I never really liked them anyway though.

    Slayer - Dittohead

Aaaaaaaggggghhh, the speed, it's insane. I think Paul Bostaph is the better skilled Slayer drummer, Lombardo's sound just fitted better with the band. From 1994's Divine Intervention...

The Cooper Temple Clause - Blind Pilots

A few pages back in the thread I said they were the best British band, second only to Muse. After giving both Absolution and Kick Up the Fire and Let the Flames Break Loose some serious listening to, I've come to the conclusion that they're better than Muse. Britains best band at the moment. Oh yes.

Linkin Park - Breaking The Habit

I like this song. I like most of Linkin Park's songs, actually, save for the purely instrumental/turn-table ones.

At The Drive-In - Arc Arsenal

The vocals are little overly shouty, but it's got great speed and guitar.

    Linkin Park - Don't Stay

Second song on their latest album, Meteora. Very good album, I should pick it up sometime soon: I've been listening to it at Mac's a lot lately. Or he's been bringing it to wherever we're hanging out, whatever. I don't have enough money to buy CDs anymore. Everything's so damned expensive.

    Metallica - Battery

I know all the rhythm from this song, it's a really fun song to play. Good couple of years before I can play the lead I'd say. From 1986's Master Of Puppets album...
