Electric Light Orchestra - Mr. Blue Sky

I dont really know why i like this track. Maybe the fact that so much is going on and the music really draws you in. Also when you think the track ends and it goes into the heavier part is just genious.

Plus they have some dodgy synth effects and synth is dam cool!

You know how in the thread title, it says "Please Read The Rules On The First Page"? You should try that sometime.

    Opeth - The Moor

My favourite Opeth song. One of their traits, then twin guitar harmonies, are quite prominent in this song. Apparently, there is a production mistake around 5 or 6 minutes, you can hear by listening only through the right speaker, but I can't find it. Not that that bothers me...

Marilyn Manson - The Dope Show

My brother was listening to it and it clung to me. Nothing amazing, but I like the slower beat.

    Soil - Halo

The song that got me hooked with this band. It's still my favorite song by them, but I have now realized that Soil has a lot of great songs.

Ed, you shouldn't have bought that Absolution bootleg, I could've told you where to download the entire album as of a month or two ago. I'm going to buy their limited edition dealio with the 40 minute long "making of" dvd, hopefully it'll be good for a laugh like the scenes on the second disc of Hullabaloo.

My hatred of Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Blindspott and nu metal in general has been brought to an entirely new level thanks to being trapped in a bus for a few days on a recent school field trip, while some other kids took control of the stereo... I managed to comandeer a mate's discman for a while and listen to his Radiohead, Nirvana, Placebo and Monty Python (ahem) albums for a bit of escapism. Huzzah.

At The Drive-In - Invalid Letter Dept.

Why can't nu metal fans progress towards metalcore or something? Arghrfvndm,bv,df...

    OMG SLIPKNOT IZ TEH COOLEZT!

Ludwig Van Beethoven - Ode To Joy (Symphony No. 9)

This ought to keep me busy for a while...70 minutes of Classical goodness. While I tend to stay away from mainstream composers, this one tickles my fancy.

Gob - Give Up The Grudge

The only Gob song I like. The verses aren't very interesting and seem to carry a very odd beat, but the chorus is so true to a lot of people I know that I couldn't help falling in love with it.

    Metallica - Metal Militia

Not as hard a song as I first thought and one of my favourites off Kill Em All.
    Trogdor, Trogdor

    Trogdor was a man
    Uhh...Maybe he was a Dragon-Man
Uhh...Maybe he was just a Dragon
    Uhm...but he was still

    Trogdor, Trogdor

    Burninating the countryside
    Burninating the peasants
    Buriniating all the people
    in their Thatched Roof Cottages

    Thatched Roof Cottages

And The Trogdor Comes in The Night.

    Rufio ~ Science Fiction

this song is the one that got me into Rufio...and although it ends up being their best song and it seemed all downhill from there and some (but not a whole lot) of their other stuff is shit, it's still reaaaaaaaaly good and so is Rufio.

Halo OST - Enough Dead Heroes

Halo's soundtrack is one of the truly immersive pieces found in any game. The single player game experience would not be complete without the choral chants, heavy percussion, soaring melodies, and brass intruments interspliced within nearly every track. This song is no exception. The symphony employed is highly skilled, and the composer even more so.
