    Angry Life's a b!tch...

    Pardon the title, but... Whatever...

Yesterday, some asshole came into my house and stole my PS2... First thing I thought when I saw it wasn't there was my brother took it to a friend's house, or something... But when he came back and I asked him, he didn't know anything...

Needless to say, when I heard that, I just stood there for a few seconds thinking "Ooooh, no way!"...

The house was all alone during the afternoon, my mom, my sister, and my kid bro were out and so was I, so that's when it happened. When I came into my room, my N64 was disconnected, the Ogre Battle 64 cart was inside the slot (where I left it), but all the cables were garbled around the system, as if the bastard was thinking of taking it too...

Seems he was alone though, 'cause he only took the system, a Dual Shock 2, a PS2 and a PSOne MemCards, A/V and power cables, and GTA Vice City, which was inside the disc tray... All fit into a backpack pretty nicely... And like I said, looks like he wanted to take my N64 with him too, but didn't have enough space to carry it... The idiot didn't even bother to look around, my GBA was there, other PSOne/PS2/N64 games were inside the drawers and my PC and stuff were there too... My sister wasn't missing anything, nor was my mom, so he probably thought he'd benefit more from my system...

Thing is, I don't really care for not being able to play it anymore... Hell, I haven't even touched the damn thing since a few months back, so if it would've been something else, like the reader busting up or ANYTHING, I wouldn't be complaining about not having it with me, but THIS!!

I'm SO royally pissed, because it just isn't fair. Some asshole comes in and takes it away, just like that... I could kick his ass right now, no holding back...

One good thing came from it all:
The moron left a clue behind... A rag cloth, the kind that streetdwellers and bums use to clean cars and stuff...
Also, it seems there's a guy who's been coming into the neighborhood recently to clean one of the neighbor's car now and then, and my mom and sister say they've seen him lurking around, infront of other houses, so if THAT'S not a clue, I dunno what is...

Until then, it's just a waiting game until he shows up...
I sincerely don't know how to handle this... Should I come up infront of him and TAKE my system by force...? Should I call the cops, so they take care of him next time he shows up...?

Allow me to correct myself... Life is not a bitch... People are...

Argh, that really sucks. While it's not on the same level, I had about 100 pounds worth of collectible cards swiped from me when I was younger, and I know it's not pleasant...

Do you have the serial number written down? That makes it easier. I'm sorry, man. I hope you find it fully intact.

Dude that sucks.. I have a lot of stuff too, and I would be royally pissed if someone took it.. (Pc games, 68 saturn games, xbox games, gamecube games, ps2 games, ps1 games, dvds, at least 500 of pokemon cards P), tv, new computer, laptop etc...) Just make sure you catch him, beat the shit out of him, beat him some more, then send him to prison, or the fiery pits of hell

I still have the box/manual where the system came in, as well as the purchase receipt, if the serial's there, then I do...

    If not, then no...

The serial is generally on the system, but the box might have something as well. The receipt will help, since there will likely be some information on there, if not a lot.

Actually, the reciept should have the serial number on it. Every reciept I've ever recieved when buying a system has had the serial number on it, so you should be in luck. That way you can report it stolen, and if it turns up at a pawn shop, when they run the serial number (as they should), it'll come up stolen and you might be able to get it back.

Man, this reminds me of my story. I got my stuff jack from a some punk too. He took all of the good games and left the gay ones behind. What a *****. That pissed me off so much because most of the theifs are aways the ones that goes for your games. I think if you see him, you should just take your stuff back by force. The police can't and won't do a thing.

That sucks man. This is one of my worst fears. I know if i ever came home and all my stuff were jacked id be pissed and be bored as hell. Because i got tons of games and a Xbox, Ps2, and Gamecube. So i know if someone ever robbed me hed have a field day. All i can say man is it might be pretty well lost at this point. Unless you may have a clue who might have broken in to your house. Other then that your gonna have to start saving up to buy a new one. And when you do your gonna have to start hiding the ps2 each time you leave or finding a carrying case which you can use to take it with. I stayed with a relative in a fairly bad nieghborhood and when a nieghbors house got robbed i got paranoid. So each time i left i hid everything. From the systems to the games inside my room . That way when someone breaks in they wouldnt see it right away and just move on to the next room. But still i feel your pain man good luck at HOPEFULLY finding the thief or getting a new one sometime in the future.

I know your exact feeling I have had my house robbed 3 times in total yes 3 in the last 10 years it sucks when it happens, the worst of all cases was when the bastards stole my systems all my games my laptop, little tv etc. It really hurts when you come home to find that something so horrible happened.
One thing I also recall that to this day bugs me my most expensive system the bastards stole back then was a psx back then 300 dollars if I recall correctly, with a bunch of games that were expensive back then and also it was modded

That just makes me so mad. If someone robbed my house and I found him, I'd look like the pic below while beating the crap out of the thief. But what I suggest you do is confront the little wanker, and beat the snot out of him, that is if your 100% sure he is the thief.

I'd claim it as stolen so that if it shows up in a pawn shop you can get it back. If this guy is a bum he's not going to be hanging on to it so you better act fast. It also rules out taking it back by force because it's not like he'll be carrying it around with him. I guess the only comfort I can offer is that if you don't get your PS2 back, they are dropping in price and if you can wait, the PS3 will be backward compatible anyway. I know that doesn't help much because it doesn't change what happened but I'm trying to offer a silver lining here. That really sucks what happened.
