well I know how to change that in some kind of mathematical problem but eh... yeah I get german anyway...

edit: but hey...I dont think Einstein would have made his riddle that easy if the entire ep members can make it...

It's just another way of saying that he keeps birds.

This again? The Jap owns the Zebra and the Norweigian drinks water.

Edit - Oh the problem has different people.

The 5th house owns the fish, and if there's a water thing, then its drunk in the first house.

Perhaps a change of perspective would make this solvable? Think about it, we know it isn't the German, so rather than trying to figure out why the it has to be the German, figure out why it can't be him. Whatever method of solving this problem it takes to come to the conclusion that it can't be the German is probobly the correct one. Either way though I agree this problem is very likely too open ended to come up with one and only one anwser. BTW Akerie, could you pm me the anwser? Just in case the anwser makes what I've said seem irrelivant, I'd like to know it before I make myself look even more stuipid

    Because of this:

This is wrong, that's way easy, this is einsteins riddle people, do you think he'd make it so just anyone could solve it? So there you have it, it's not the german which I bet 98% of you come up with first, I know I did. >
Although every website I've checked seems to think it's the German as well...

Ah i didn't see that post.

The reason why i thought it might be done just the simple way, is because people would think "Einstein's too smart to make it that easy" so people would try a harder way and get it wrong, in other words, i thought that Einstein was double-bluffing.
    But i guess i'm wrong.

And Akerie, are you sure the answer that you have is correct?Did Einstein ever give out the answer, or say if certain people got it right or not?

It's not that hard just draw up a 30 by 30 grid and remember to take information across. The secret to working out where they are is the cigars and which houses certain cigars can be.

Xzyx987X is the one who is thinking right. Everyone who is getting German is simply placing items on a table that they made, aren't you?
Ya uh.. pikachu slapping another pikachu.. how bout' that?

    From the computer.

1st House: Norwegian , Yellow, Cat, Water, Durnhill
2nd House: Dane , Blue, Horse, Tea, Blends
3rd House: Brit, Red, Bird, Milk, Pall Mall
4th House: German, Green, Fish, Coffee, Prince
5th House: Swede, White, Dog, Beer, Blue Masters

I also checked by hand. By the way the houses can't be a in a circle because a circle doesn't have a first house.

Akerie's proof is based on that the puzzle is hard because Einstein made it, however it has been proven Einstein didn't make the logic puzzle.

Me and a professor worked out what possible answers were and why. Just because something is published on a website, doesn't make it true. And in turn, just because I say that something is wrong doesn't make it true either.
