Default DC on XBox and Selfboot

A loooooong time ago i heard about a project to emulate the DC on XBox hardware. I can't find the site anymore. Has anyone heard anything? also, does anyone know how to make selfbooting disks for XBox, PSOne, etc....

ok. i'm not sure on the xbox, but i do know that unless you have a speical burner from sony (used with the dev kit) you can't selfboot psx games. you can mod, use the swap trick, or try to find a developers psx (good luck on the last one). psx cds are burnt a little different than normal cds. i've tried WAY too many ways to get them to selfboot, but none of the methods on the net work. hope that helps a little. also, i've heard of an emu that allows dc on the xbox, but i think they proved it as a fake... may check the forums ar www.dcemulation.com

DC on an Xbox is impossible as you need about 2ghz to emulate a DC. An xbox is only about 700mhz so it's no go.

actually, I got a DC game to self-boot once. It was the utopia Boot Disk. I got it as an ISO off KaZaA. Any ideas on this? maybe it depends on the program you write and extract with. By the way, what's a good ISO extractor?

The Utiopia Boot Disk is supposed to self-boot... It lets you play other, non-self booting games. (from what I understand)

I have 14 Dreamcast Isos that all play and I don't need patches, a boot disk or a mod chip. The wonders of E-MULE. You'll need to download Alcohol 120% to burn the CDI's, though. Dead useful, Alcohol 120%...

There is no way to self-boot psx games, but most DC isos are self-booting already, the first games that groups released arent self-boot but later they found a method of doing it, so the later games are self-boot.. and you will need utopia boot-disk to play the non-selfboot games. Too many "self-boot"'s in there...

heh heh. i hate when i do stuff like that. thats pretty interesting about the DC self-booting ISOs. By the way, I want to put some ISOs on my site, but space is verrry limited. what's a good compresser? i know about WinZip. But WinRAR is kinda different. which is better?

Winrar, I guess. It compresses files way better than winzip, and that's what those proggies are for
