I just know how to connect to them, not how to set them up with a cable modem.

you need to get an ftp program, like smartFTP, GuildFTP, or serv-u. you can probably get guides for how to set them up on the sites you download them from. just search for them on google or somthing. Hope that helps you out

And just to clarify, edonkey and emule are P2P sharing programs sort of like Kazaa... They're slow, but you can find damn near anything on them, so they're among my favourites...

Use Serv-U its the easiest ftp program to use that ive come across, easy on-screen instructions.. And you can set it up within about 2 minutes so go with that And.. I've never been able to use edonkey :/ never connected...

Zonealarm ensures I have to change the port everytime I startup or I get a firewalled status... :\

edonkey. Serv-U worked fine, but there's no point in me setting up an FTP on a 2 gig Harddisk. Anyway, I'll stop spamming this guy's thread now
