I'm trying to reply to posts I've made a long time ago with a different account but it won't let me
I posted on this thread

A long time ago I tried to upload a rare Japanese ROM for the CD-i that still hasn't been dumped to this day apart from the link I posted ages.
I posted and uploaded it specifically on this forum to try and preserve this game. And it appears that no-one has downloaded it or backed it up or anything. Now it's lost forever. I do not have the game anymore and the archive of image I have on my hard drive seems to be corrupted.
So good one, so much for being a ROM preservation community. This game is now lost to time.
A whole internet scour for this game only has the content that I posted basically

A ransomware virus affected my computer the Deja Vu IFLA variant and it took the CD-i image with it. But I had the foresight of uploading it on the internet to a freaking ROM provider website and it was never archived. It should have been downloaded from the file sharing site and put on the main website of Emulator Paradise. I don't understand why it wasn't. Why do some ROMs not get approved to put in with the mainstream ones. For some reason they just left it so that temporary file sharing link was the only source of that ROM. It then expired, apparently no-one downloaded it and so it got lost.
Well done ROM preservists
I do have a CD backup that I made for playing on a CD-i but when I put it in my modern PC DVD Burner it shows up blank even though I'm positive it's on there. I don't tend to label and keep CD's if burning was unsuccessful plus I remember playing it. I no longer have a CD-i so I got no way to test to see if the image is still on there. CD-R's are temporary media aren't they? So over time it would dissapear right? It's been over 10 years since I made the backup so maybe it's dissapeared
