yes just fine. I think it might have something to do with webman I might try those two games again with webman unloaded and see if that fixes the problem

this. I recently ran the pal version of stunt gp for ps2 and it worked fine in the past(on my SS with HEN) I ran bubsy 3d pal which oddly was the only version of that game to work.

you sure about that? I know the source code for the game was released/leaked a while back and currently some asshole was teasing a remake or remaster using the source code and won't publicly(or at all) release it.

PS3 should be 50/60Hz machine. Region locked games are extremely rare, older platform games not working properly would have more to do with emu settings (config).
Both x360 and Wii are 50/60Hz as well, although Wii sometimes needs some method of forcing to get some games to work and x360 you need jtag/rgh to have full region free.

If the PS3 is behaving like that, the check list:

Open up and give it a clean... don't go as far as replacing thermal paste for this job.
PSU might be getting tired. Old fats can work ok for PS3 games, mostly, but some PS2 games can be demanding so the PSU gets pushed.

After that things get beyond easy.
Even the PSU issue can be a pain if you don't have a spare to swap in... although I seem to recall a tutorial years ago about frankenPSU using PC PSU anything like that is ugly though as it's an externalised mod.

The animated episode was way better than this and I didn't really like that.

I meant it in response to the part about PS2 and ESR. I know PS3s can be made to play some PS2 titles even if it's not a BC unit. I've never messed with it, but isn't the compatibility poor?

Custom config files. I grabbed an archive of them ages ago but there are probably more now.

On PS4 people have made plenty of troublesome PS2 games playable, even adding cheats and widescreen patches etc. These are PS2toPS4 pkgs.

SCPH-7500X and above + mechapwn (install via fmcb)
If you have NA console I think you can go lower than the above model to get RF.
Then you just patch images as masterdiscs before burn.

Or fat & HDD + OPL (or whatever). There are also hardmods to add HDD to slims now, people even sell slims that are pre-modded with HDD interface (or you can just buy the adapter and diy).

Well XSX and Sega GG arrived about a week ago.

Pulled the vinyl wrap off XSX and the serial sticker is still intact. HDMI port is pretty fucked up but I saw pics of it before I purchased. I can see some dust inside but it isn't really bad, just a little so it's to be expected.
    Console is 2021 build date.

Sega GG has fucked up display... I swapped in a CleanJuice USB-C power board and it didn't make any difference so I'm pretty sure it's the MB caps. Backlight still works.
I've got a couple of cap kits here for VA0 & VA1 MB's but need to open this back up to check what MB revision it is, hopefully I already have what I need.

I see, thanks. I don't know of any Europe only releases I'd be interested in. FMCB + fat and OPL is I've been using. The only time I've had to go back to discs was for Ace Combat 5 which was buggy with OPL.
