no I haven't played the hack I didn't even know there was one but then again I didn't know there were all that many hacks for the 2600

Yeah there are some 2600 hacks. Some are "improvements" like Custer's Viagra but a lot are changed enemy and character sprites to create a new game theme eg: Dr. Who: Dalek Invasion (Berzerk hack).

The problem with fixed wireless, here at least, is that when local usage is high you can notice it. But I haven't played online for ages so it doesn't really bother me.
It is nice being able to update a crapton of XB1 games in a couple of hours instead of taking weeks or more
Also large PS4 pkg's don't take forever to dl.

That happens here as well but it's less frequent than it used to be. Might become more of an issue again when they upgrade the tower I'm on.

So I could only pay like $50 per month instead of $70 but my speed would only be one third of what I have now.
I have thought about it recently but it just seems like a terrible idea to save such a small amount of money.

so close to beating painkiller I'm at the last boss. tried to beat him yesterday but couldn't so I looked up a guide, the guide said it was so easy I only got two chances to do what the guide said an both times it didn't work.
so I started up penumbra overture and found out that black plague was a sequel, it feels like overture might be a little harder than black plague.

yeah just like the save bug where the game hard locks when you try to load a manual save on the docks level happened to me twice.
I don't know if it's a bug or if the guides are wrong(or missing info) it might just be me unable to beat him.

by some fluke I managed to beat the bastard. you have to shoot his sword while it's still in the air after he throws it at you not after it hits the ground. those guide left that part out fucking morons.

I forgot to mention that some of the smaller providers are using satellite. So blah. I hear SpaceX is pretty fast when it works, but meh. I'd rather have DSL over Satellite. In an ideal world I'd have fiber, heh.

I got to thinking about it yesterday after I seen those lynx games you posted ,so they at least managed a demo.

finished battle out of hell expansion for painkiller yesterday. they really fucked up the character artwork during cutscenes they made the main character look way older(like late 50s) alastor looked quite different they also covered up eves' tits (with more than just her hair)
they changed her look a little too but not nearly as bad as the others. also whoever was in charge of lip synching should have been fired it was awful the timing was always off(sometimes by a lot) the final boss was way easier(once I knew what to do)than the standard game hell I beat the boss in just over 3 min.

just the videos there isn't any dialog during gameplay well aside from grunting/screaming and some other noises made by demons.
