Good thing is you can pirate nearly everything if you own the right hardware.

I'm basically missing an early Switch right now... I think my sister might have one though.
Spoiler warning:
Copyright is supposed to "encourage new creations" or some nonsense like that . Disney and friends keep getting it extended into forever and all it really serves to do is stifle things because they think they deserve infinite sales for all time .
As I said I only really need a Switch atm... but I don't really need it I guess
There is some other earlier hardware that I'm missing and would like to have too, but stuff like that I just wait until a good deal shows up (harder recently though since Japan Post won't ship to here by air).
Spoiler warning:
For the last 2 years I've been asking first for any os purchase. Imported a few things from UK without issues, but others I looked at (eg Germany, France and Japan) all either turned me down or quoted stupid shipping costs (EMS, DHL etc). Even though Japan Post will technically do package via surface to here no sellers were interested in doing that.
Spoiler warning:
And even thought my Uncle lives in Japan I don't feel right asking him to look for stuff (and then sending it surface).
Covid rules in Japan have been tough. Tougher than here from what I understand.
Spoiler warning:
Looking at mid-range builds regarding gaming PCs, I could build a decent one for around 500-600, but it would go up to 1,000-1,200 because GPUs are expensive AF. Speaking of copyright, is Mickey Mouse's copyright about to expire in a few years or so, I suppose Disney is getting ready to lobby again to extend Copyright even more. https://abj.artrepreneur.com/mickey-...copyright-law/
Yep his copyright expires next year.
As for covid in the U.S. it depends on the place. Some places don't even care or won't ask you to wear a mask anymore.
Disney probably has their plan to extend it further and further for the next few decades . About time on the latter, it's coming up on two years now and the stupidity needs to end. There's supposed to be some new mask mandate for a nearby county but the majority there finally seem to be sick of it.
Edit:Long ago, long ago, when it at least made some sense .In the Copyright Act of 1790, the 14-year term was renewable for one additional 14-year term, if the author was alive at the end of the first 14 years. And it only applied to maps, charts, and books. Registration and use of a copyright notice were also required.
