32 isn't a lot for an open world game I thought it'd be more than that.

FO76 gear levelling isn't done all that well imo.
Non-legendary weapons and armor parts can become ineffective after 5 or so levels behind your current character level.
Legendary stuff lasts a bit longer.
Creating weapons/armor needs components as does repairs.
You can't upgrade the level of gear to your current level, you need to create a new item closer to your level or find/buy something suitable.
Your camp has a cap for stashed components, a pitiful cap but it's actually slightly larger now than it was for the game launch.
This becomes an endless nightmare you have to live with, you'll probably realise it around level 30 or less.
Spoiler warning:
I do like the game, but it does have seriously annoying aspects about it.
The gear levelling is a mechanic so that won't change.
The camp stash cap might increase a little more, but I don't have any serious hopes it will open right up to make the game like FO4.
Another thing that bothered me but less so now...
High level players being nearby and dragging up enemy levels
I'm not sure what happened but I haven't seen a problem with this for some time.
It's possibly still happening, but most of the time I tend to avoid being near other players during combat
I also use stealth and silenced weapons a lot when playing on my own.
Spoiler warning:
It stops at level 45-50 and 60 for power armor anyways.
Yeah I remember when the stash cap was 600. now it's 1200. Also you used to only be able to sell off enough things for 200 caps, think it's 1400 now per day. They've increased a lot of stuff thank god. Still a pain in the ass. Got my storage down to 700 pounds a couple days ago though. Yay?
You can also create your own legendaries now. Repairs aren't that big of a deal though. There are perks that really stave these of besides it doesn't take that many components to fix things anyways. Well I guess if you have crazy ass ultracite weapons and such it could be harder.
And there's a max cap total too, 30,000 I think.
Also looking for a new spot for a base. Hate that golf course. Have a design idea too, be much more streamlined and simple.
I'm happy with my spot and don't plan on changing it. Took me a few goes until I settled there but that happened very early on, I made it a priority.
Spoiler warning:
I still have my really early base that I moved from the cliff side which was my first but kept falling to my death whenever I spawned there - the one you saw. The golf course was just too crazy. It was the robots actually. My turrets would be shooting at ghouls and whoops an Assaultron got hit and would attack back and destroy a bunch of shit.
I made my new one in that big dry lake area. Lots of little water spots still too of which I'll farm and sell. I like building bases plus I have a ton of new plans so starting fresh is a good idea, for me anyways.

This is my basic design right now. Have to fix the right barricades coming out, not symmetrical. Still a lot to do.
Shouldn't you have the water purifiers fully enclosed? People steal water iirc?
I enclosed mine ages ago so it can only be accessed by removing a wall via build mode.
I did it after I saw a guy in PA walking through the river to get to my purifier![]()
