Last time I saw scorchbeast I just ran until it was distracted by other potential victims. But that was around 10 levels back so I was really weak.

I've always had my base at the exact same spot. It has never been seriously attacked... like only a few times by maybe 2 of those Chinese bots. I do have several turrets though.

My old one I was never attacked once. The one before that either but it was hanging off a cliff and had to move. I'd spawn sometimes right on it but since it hadn't finished loading I'd fall right through it and die

With lockdowns one week, then back to normal for a week and now lockdown again I'm all over the place like the dog's breakfast

No doesn't look like you can craft the ammo. However there are places you can find extra and you can get drops from daily ops as long as it's equipped. I checked the moment I got it. It's a really weak weapon anyways. 25 dmg at lvl 50.

You should be able to find the astronaut ally and do her quests if over level 20 and get the distress signal and will show up as a side quest. She's in a bunker very close to east ridge lookout in the north east just into the mire if you want to check it out.

At the end of the quests I think you have to pick a specific option of the 3 to get or you'll get something else (not 100% sure though)

Looks like you can get one from a submerged safe at toxic pond too.
