What is CRC32?
CRC32 is a checksum algorithm used to detect data corruption. Each checksum consists of 8 alphanumeric characters unique to the file. File names do not affect this value.
Other popular checksums are MD5 and SHA1.
How to use it?
- Download a checksum calculator like HashMyFiles.
- Drop the ISOs into the tool.
- Copy the CRC32.
- Go to http://redump.org/ and paste the CRC32 in the Quick search box.
- If the CRC32 value matches, it is the correct dump.
