Borderlands 3 is really obnoxious. I played the first one, but that was 11 years ago. The writing is just so adolescent and forced. It has not aged well.
I've never been able to get into those.
It's the graphics that bother me the most, headache inducing.
The first game was rather grindy too if you played solo.
Spoiler warning:
Borderlands 2 was ok if you played with friends. I also remember Borderlands 1 being pretty hard if you played single player.
I can see why. It's one of those games you can tell was made by a middle-aged white guy to "appeal to the kids these days." It's out of touch.
The graphical filter is neat in concept, but I can see how it could do that to you. My brother and I had to sit right up close to the tv to be able to read anything.
They're also inconsistent with it. There is a character who speaks to you telepathically and while talking that way, her avatar looks like a 45yr old mom with bad contact lenses from an FMV game. There is no cell shaded filter on her then. When she appears in-person though, her character model is done in the style of the rest of the character models.
I am only playing it split screen. I don't think I would be playing it otherwise; it is just not grabbing me.

Hmm 70 games installed on the box. Running low on space. I should uninstall everything and just keep what I'm working on.
Me watching the latest Mandalorian episode...

DQ11 is so cute I almost threw up in my mouth
Alright, time for Mando.
Ok yeah that was a pretty damn good episode. A little short this time around. They do vary a fair bit.
You'd think Moff Gustavo would have a full on Star Destroyer.
Can't wait for old blue face to show up. There's nothing to say the books couldn't have happened featuring him except for Kylo's name - and who knows maybe he has a twin sister out there somewhere.
Nice to see Deb/May in it again too![]()
