I never play a female unless I have no choice in the matter. I don't choose male homo options either.

Actually, I think I have made some female builds for TES and Fallout just for something different, but those are unusual for me.

Are their any mythical beasts in this game to fight? Not asking for any spoilers but all I've gone up against are humans and wolves and such.

Yeah, there are two kinds of overpowered beasts/monsters you can fight.

One type are just overly large animals (not alphas that you normally find at some locations) part of a questline to collect some special skins...I've nearly collected all of these now but some can be reasonable fights.

The second type are mythical monsters, so far I've only looked at one myself earlier on but when I was at sea one time there was mention of another roaming the shoreline of a location. I haven't defeated any of these, leaving them until later when I'm higher lvl (I'm around 40 atm).

btw there are two settings related to difficulty. One is standard game difficulty setting and the other is level scaling.
