I totally agree. Much way better more than one disc.
I totally agree. Much way better more than one disc.
Yeah, I'd rather a game came on multiple discs then downloading a ton of data. At least then, it really is physical.
Totally agree.
Hey, you know what, I miss game magazines too. I used to buy the Official Nintendo Magazine a few years ago and the Official PlayStation Magazine many years ago (the one with demo discs).
Oh dang, I miss game magazines too. Nintendo Power was great and so was Playstation magazine. Game Informer wasn't too bad back then either. It was nice looking at upcoming games and seeing all that artwork and stuff. Especially when you didn't have Internet at home back in the day. I still have my gaming magazines. It was also cool when they came with demo discs too. That's another thing, remember demo discs, that was a nice way to get a sample of a game.
Yeah, I used to spend a lot of time playing demos. Sadly magazines went through the same way as manuals.
Yeah you don't really see gaming magazines anymore. Pretty much all gaming news has gone online. Also, with the loss of gaming magazines come the loss of demo discs. Those early PS1 demo discs were cool.
Yeah, do you remember those Net Yaroze games they used to put in demo discs? Some of them were really funny. Well, I guess indies today are on a more different level, however not all of them are like, totally good.
I kinda remember those Net Yaroze games. I think it would be cool to have a Net Yaroze Playstation. Oh a lot of games by XSeed have manuals of physical copies of PS4 games.
Yeah, I think Sony gave some kind of dev kit to people to work on, and those Net Yaroze games were the results of their work.
Oh yeah, I saw your pic in the other thread, XSeed games do not encounter my taste but I have to admit they do a really good job with content and packaging. Wish more other publishers did the same thing.
That's ok, that's why there's games for all types of people. Xseed has made some good action-RPGs. I agree totally, it would be nice to see more publishers/developers put more effort in content and packaging. Even if the manual wasn't very long it would still be a nice addition. I really miss those long thick manuals that had anywhere from 30 to 60 pages. I've read that some manuals were 100 pages long or more, but those were usually for strategy games.
I guess so. Yeah, I suppose strategy games really need some more instructions.
Yeah, though I was never a fan of strategy games. I remember some RPGs came with fairly thick game manuals. It was nice to read the character's bios, stats, items and more about the game. Plus the artwork was always nice to look at.
I totally agree. Just downloaded the free version of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT and been wondering how cool a manual with artworks and the story of each character would have been.
Indeed. Having a manual for a game like Dissidia Final Fantasy NT would be great. I will probably download that game as well. Just wish my DSL wasn't so slow. 17GB is a lot when your internet is slow. Some games on Steam have a digital manual in the form of a PDF file. I guess you could print it out, thus making it physical.
Thanks, I guess I'll give it a try. After some time playing it, I'm not enjoying the game as I thought I would, but the manual may be interesting to read. Thanks a lot.
