Finally got my brother's IBM set up with a CD drive and Windows 95. Maxed the RAM at 32MBytes and installed a 528MB HDD along with a Sound Blaster 16 and of course the 3.5 floppy. Also recapped the power supply and mobo. I need to start charging for this shit.
The HDD size is strange because the mobo will only recognize a partition of 528MBytes. I'll probably try partition wizard to see if I can add a few more to the drive which is actually an old 60GB I had lying around.

Definitely older. I chose Final Fantasy VIII. It's a kind of symbolic choice, as it reminds me a particular period of my life. Not my favorite Final Fantasy, but a great game though.
Wow! So cute!
Never played them. Should I give them a chance?

Spoiler warning:
only 2 bobble heads left to complete the collection(the one I can only get through the main quest) also gotta trigger the trophy for "scientific pursuits"(was that the name of the story quest?) since it oddly didn't trigger my first play through.

Didn't win95 have a limit too? Like 3gb a partition or something?
Yeah, 528 has to do with the number of heads/sectors and was a very common problem of the time. Its weird that its not 512, but the math was legit when I looked it up. In any case, you are right about the BIOS, however I couldn't find a newer one for this mobo.
There are three free ISA slots so an expansion card with IDE and BIOS could work. I'll be leaving Michigan before we can find a part and set it up though, so he will just have to deal with it.![]()
Just got back from a drive after finally replacing the valve cover gasket. Success! No oil on the ground, under the engine or even in the spark plug wells which was the reason I needed to replace it. I was pretty worried since You actually have to take the engine cover off and expose the inside. My new breaks shold arrive tomorrow afternoon so I'll be doing that too. Lastly I just need to buy new tires and off I go!
