Yes but that's from last year, there were some changes since then but with what has happened right now I'm guessing none of those sort of games will be on the main site for a very long time, if ever.

Hm, but I have tried such, and it was too slow to run even at 2x res. Idk if a pcie low profile gpu is gonna be enough for that.

Pretty sure it would be. My CPU is even lower than yours (E7500 2.93ghz 4gb ram) And was blown away at what I could run afterwards.

it has a new core for PCs, PCSX ReARMed, itil run fast as hell on a low ish end PC.

Mednafen aka Beetle Cores are accurate so they take a wee bit more CPU power, hell even my crappy laptop can play those just fine.

the internal Res if I remember right is handled by the CPU and not the GPU, its always best to ask the devs and other helpful dudes in the irc channel.

Use RetroArch and you will throw that crap epxe away in a heartbeat.

BTW epsxe is absolute trash and is never the better choice.

Zal just needs to use the PCSX ReARMed core and it should run full speed, needs to give the vanilla Beetle PSX core a shot to to see how it runs.

Only my dislike for RA . Unless it's a command-line program there's no reason not to offer proper mouse support for PC software.
