Thats a hard one.
It mostly depends on your stats.
If you have a highend computer a graphics card it is.
If you have a sucky computer and card then VGS would be better.
For my system it is the best.
I say, yes. I hold it above vgs for the fallowing reasons.
1) epsxe supports analog mode,
2) epsxe supports force feedback and the first time I felt that pulsing feeling in Soul Reaver. That is when I learned that force feedback can be more than a cheap gimmick.
3) more configurable in general.
although there are some games (resident evil) that won't play on epsxe but will play on vgs. My recomendation is to have both and use vgs for anything epxse can't handle.

It's as knowitman said, If you have a high end computer, then undoubtedly it is the best emulator. If your system specs are low, then I suggest VGS or this new one, I think it was called PSX Eden. But I'm not sure

Definitly! Try playin Final Fantasy IX without epsxe; it's close to impossible. And this is just 1 of probably many games. And don't forget EpsxeCutor!!!

Of course Epsxe is the better!
Anyway, I use also PSX Even and FPSE, just in case a game doesn`t "want" to work with the best emulator.

It depends on the plugins you are using, and the stats of your computer. But yes, I believe it is the best one.
It's the best emu, but nothing beats a chipped PSX.

I say yeah. I use it, and I have a generally fast comp. It's got nice features too, and it works great with every game I have.

I think it is the best emulator as long as you have a good set of plugins that work well with you r comp but I agree with jebeebus nothing beats a chipped psx

Epsxe is the daddy and like most of you i have just about every plugin and epsxe emulates any game i throw at it.
And the graphics are sweet.
But depends on ur video card, im using a Gforce 4 mx420 pci,
yes go and laugh pci.... what can i say ive had the pc for a while and i like it
Anyway epsxe is the daddy psx emulator and i dont know why ppl are making more psx emulators, they should just update epsxe.
