Grabbed a couple of Russian>English VHS tapes too.
Battleship Potemkin (1925) & Ten Days That Shook The World (1928).
They're still sealed so I haven't watched them, but I'm pretty confident they're pre-restored versions...although they wouldn't have the very first (original) music scores as those were first replaced in either the 1950's or 60's.

These are much more interesting than the games.

Yeah as I said they won't be the original music versions but I'm hopeful that they're 1950/60's versions transferred to VHS. Potemkin is early 1990's release but the other might be even earlier.

I don't think they're actual bootlegs but old English versions pre-DVD.
Pretty sure Potemkin had a full restore about 10 years ago, I probably have a rip of it here somewhere.
Both movies have had multiple audio revisions over the many years afaik.

Any noteworthy difference that makes the VHS worth owning?

Potemkin probably has some stuff edited out as all the earlier releases were like that, even the Russian versions. The more recent restored version incudes all cut scenes restored and improved English translation iirc...I'm not sure what music was used though tbh.

I just wanted this as it's an older version and it's still sealed.
I do pick up the odd VHS tape now and then but I don't collect them avidly.

Anyway I'm only speculating about what content is there, I'd have to watch and compare them to more recent versions to know for sure.

FF12 HD or whatever they're calling it is out today. Don't think I could run it on PC but then I really don't need to play this again.
