I mean sure once your powerful enough you can just plow through low level enemies. You really have to build your character carefully and grind like hell for certain things and learn how to parry and dodge and everything. I won't even get into the world tendency stuff. The game really is tricky especially at first. I dunno it's hard to explain. There are some pretty cool big monsters but it almost feels like a test game for Dark Souls of which I've only played number 2 (And Demons Souls too of course) Like I said it's difficult to explain.

Some of the later bosses and red phantoms can be a real pain in the ass unless your prepared. You def can't just button mash your way through.
You can parry ? I went through most of the game not knowing you could lock on with magic and I did alright.

Enemies scale in Oblivion and Skyrim unless you disable it with a mod. I think there's level scaling in Morrowind but it's a method that's much less obnoxious.

    Level scaling is crap .

Yeah they definitely have a switchable perspective, but I don't know if you're suppose to play them in 3rd person. Those good old Bethesda jumping and swimming animations haven't changed since... well ever.

The level scaling in III is different. Nearly all enemies seem a little OP at the beginning.
It isn't as hard as earlier games overall but initially tougher than IV and V. Also the travel system in III requires a lot more planning due to the obvious restrictions.
Yeah you can use magic etc but there's no easy fast travel like later games.

I think locking is L3 or R3. It's been a long time since I've played.

The jump animation looks like something out of Power Rangers or some kind of goofy vampire/werewolf movie.

My 60lb beast should be arriving today . Provided Fedex doesn't delay it because of weather or something.

I hve nothing to add to this conversation, I am bored, just got back from the fundafull adventure that is the job center...so im going to sing everyone a little song:

    I've lived in apartments
    I've lived in a home
    I've traveled in trailors
    When I used to roam
    But now in these places
    You won't catch me dead
'Cause I'm happy I live in a split level head

I do what I want to
    No worries, no cares
    If anyone bugs me
    I'll climb level stairs
    Way up to a level
    Where astronauts bed
'Cause I'm happy I live in a split level head

    In here time means nothing
    I coulden't care less
    I don't run for buses
    And trains are a mess
There's no one to care for
    I don't make a bed
'Cause I'm happy I live in a split level head

    I like how I'm living
    I'm nobody's slave
    My head's above water
    So don't make a wave
    There's no door to lock
And no door to be fed
'Cause I'm happy I live in a split level head

    So why should I move
    When the neighborhood's right
    No taxes to pay
    And no landlord to fight
    Now I call this living
    Once more as I said
'Cause I'm happy I live in a split level head

Now you keep your old turf
    Your hills and what's new
    You sure coulden't have them
    And live like I do
    You think I have problems
    But you do instead
'Cause I'm happy I live in a split level head

    I live with two people
    I like most of them
    He likes most of me
And I like most of him
    Their my alter egos
    And to them I'm wed
'Cause I'm happy I live in a split level head

    There's no simple status
    In my neighbohood
    It's that kind of thinking
    That keeps it so good
    I don't take the lead
But I like to be led
'Cause I'm happy I live in a split level head
