Right, I have a monitor related question...recently bought a benq GL2450H LCD monitor, looks lovely however the recomended resolution is 1920x1080 and when you put it to that it stretches the screen :/ but if i use ANY lower resolution it then fucks with the font and makes it all blurry.....im guessing ive bought a fecking dud here haven't I? (2ms response, DVI-D, HDMI, looked good on paper). It doesn't bother me much while im gaming but while im working in potatoe shop everything is ovals and squares!!!

Have you tried comparing a D-sub (VGA) connection to see if you can access those greyed out options?

Well the only other thing to try is checking the different Picture Modes to see if you can access those greyed out settings, probably unlikely though as I suspect you can't change those 'cos you're using DVI/HDMI.

Pretty sure this is the same monitor I'm using on my desktop atm but via VGA...well if it isn't the exact model it's very close to the same.

Hang on I'll just do some more reading...

Not working with VGA either I did test some of the picture modes to see if i could (low light blue, standard etc) nothing ungreyed unfortunatly...
oh yeh one more thing, the fecking thing HAD To be plugged into a VGA first before i could use the HDMI componant ofit (the HDMI Socket is turned off by default...)
