I don't have 3 identical backup machines but I do have backup parts for my desktop.
I mostly use a laptop though, and I have a few laptops but they aren't the same.

So the Switch arrived. I opened the packaging and the box isn't sealed. Apparently this is how all the Switch consoles are distributed.

    I do live in England.

The shipping packaging was sealed, but the actual console isn't. I had a good look at it, the tablet screen has no marks on it, and all the wires appeared to be as they come from the factory. If you've ever tried to put all the accessories back as they were, you'll know it's difficult.

With the box looking unused, I Googled it and found that's the same for everyone. I would have preferred at seal at least, even if it's not wrapped.

Ahh fair enough man, I import models from japan and for some reason they always have to be opened when they come into the damn country (most of the time the actual model box isn't tampered with but they tend to be hamfisted so it comes scratched, dented etc). very strange, really does sound like they are really rushing the production ...and yes i have tried XD cables never wrap up as nicely as when you buy them :'(

Buying something new that isn't sealed doesn't seem right.

The console was boxed, there was no security seal. It was placed in a sealed cardboard box for shipping.

I made sure everything was included, and it looks like it hasn't been used. I was going to send it back, but since it's the same for every console, it's pointless.

If you buy something new, it should be sealed

Well, since my laptops are both old and common, I can find them on eBay/CL for about $100 reliably - when I first started using this model that was about $200. So investing $600 or so seemed like a logical thing to do.
