This is why it's a good idea to keep spares. Sure some people might mock you for being a bit of a hoarder, but you never have to deal with bad situations like they do...no waiting for a cheap replacement to arrive and no going out to spend more than you want to on something you need immediately.

*is an electronical hoarder XD* the few things i have thrown out ive regreted and may have come in use further down the line so i learnt to stop doing it...throwing away my very old computers is a big regret because now its made trying to use midi in a hardware way a bitch (software, eh sure but it doesn't have the tone, depth fun factor etc a real one has...both digital and analogue).

The only thing I might want that I don't have atm is a BD burner...and I could always do with some more HDDs larger than 1TB I guess.

lol! thats harsh but...damn tnt caused much suffering didn't it XD

holy shit im looking at them now...cheapest voodoo 2 is 100 pound and the cheapest diamond is 70...(bare in mind if you want the decent voodoo 1 / 2 you'll need to get a 2d card aswell, which is why most go for the diamond but "iz shi" imo and shadows looked horrible on it)

Yeah they aren't dirt cheap dude. The only ones I've found listed at prices I'd maybe consider were in odd places like Ukraine, Bulgaria etc
Same with original Nokia N-Gage...but I did manage to get one of those fairly recently for free. In excellent condition too.

Really? it hasn't started melting yet? :O or was that the gizmodo....

Also don't be so sure as to turn ya nose up at em the ex soviet block is still kicking out some nice gear here and there. Friend of mine imports valve amps from the ukraine for his old technics stuff and it's not to bad. "it work comrade! no need flashy 'merican spangle banner! noooo, drag through mud, still tick "

It's more about sellers with hardly any transactions.

Ohhhhh fully understand then yeah i wouldn't trust that either, however i will look into some reputable sites if you like and see what's what. Alot of the sinclair spectrum gear / spare parts seem to be coming out of the ukraine too atm that kind of makes me proud that little machine still gets some love ^^

Don't worry about it man, I don't need one desperately I just look around sometimes.
I'd rather get something like that for nothing tbh
