Spending my Sunday translating hentai manga titles far too explicit to share here without breaking a rule.

I'm an adult

I've done quite a lot of spot translations of synopses and stuff for adult entertainment companies too. Money and workload both tended to be good, but I immediately felt like going and taking a shower to wash off the ickiness after some of the stuff they made me read. Was just about able to struggle through the worst of it by taking a step back from the material and treating it as an interesting translation exercise, but I'm not sure I could do it for any length of time if it entailed actually watching / reading some of that stuff myself. :'D

Oh no I don't do this for money, I do it because I want to. I mainly translate really, REALLY weird fetish stuff, like Milda7 (feminization from an artist who's possibly non-binary and is into forced crossdressing play) or Moonrevenge (hardcore masochist fantasy, usually narrated from the perspective of the masochist lead). It's the sort of stuff that rarely gets any interest among translation circles, besides people who simply do not care about grammar. As for translating porn titles, that's because I have a hidden blog where I write out actual thoughts about hentai trends and particular works, and I like being able to recite what the title is properly.

TLDR: I'm a pervert, but an introspective one.
