Although the guy knows absolutely nothing about pc's and just wants a simple gaming machine that works out of the box, so maybe it's good for him?

I imagine it could run anything current. As long as it doesn't melt

I'd steer him clear at that price . I'd also buy a monitor separately (and getting an actual monitor if size isn't an issue).
