Well yeah it is possible in some places (big cities) to pay $$$ for connections that are 100Mbit but fuck that. Also that's pretty much the fastest you can get domestic afaik.
Meanwhile, politicians waste money on all sorts of BS...locking up illegals etc, tax breaks for big business, taxes for high income earners don't increase much, award wages for the lowest income earners isn't keeping pace with inflation...the list goes on.

For many years they just haven't been able to understand that true high speed connections are good for the economy (for lots of reasons). Fucking idiots.

I think so to. my old isp would show much better speeds when doing a speed test there than what I was actually getting I'm sure if I checked my speeds right now they'd show up better than what I actually get and this isp is way better than my old one.

I think we're paying $30-$60 a month just internet we have a landline to but we never use it the only incoming calls are annoying robo-calls

I couldn't care less about tv and phone connection. I would never use tv even if I had the capability (I haven't used free-to-air for years anyway) and I have a mobile phone.

I just want it for downloading loads of data of all sorts, online gaming, and uploading a bit of stuff. Maybe the odd bit of skype (properly instead of the broken shit I see atm) or the like because I have family OS in more than one country. Also a bit of youtube without having to wait while buffering would be nice but I wouldn't stream besides that (maybe the folks would stream some BBC stuff I guess).

I wouldn't pay what you pay though, that just seems crazy but mostly because there are 2 things bundled there that I don't want at all.

€80 is $120au I just checked but I knew it would be a fair bit.
I think a cheap 100 connection is about $100 here though (like in Melbourne).

Where I live there isn't anything as fast as that though, I think 25/5 fixed wireless is the fastest from the local tower atm (though that could double at some stage) and that's around $70 at the cheapest (maybe a tad less if I do some more reading right now).

My max DL speed is 156kbps. Which is hardly anything these days. I can watch youtube, as long as I set it 240p or less. I live in the U.S., but I live on the outskirts of town. It might be possible for me to get faster net, but I don't have the money right now. I wish I could get 100 megabits per second. I could acutally DL my steam games without wating for days. It took like 2 or 3 days for Shadow Warrior(the remake) to download.
