Something like Mighty Boosh you would want either region 2 or 4 DVD, otherwise you're getting something converted to your region (and NTSC format which is inferior resolution compared to source).

BD releases there are better quality versions of some things depending on region release, but obviously the whole PAL vs NTSC thing is irrelevant.

I don't recall ever having a region locked DVD player
One of my BD players is region locked for BD though (DVD is RF). That's the old player with the PS3 optical drive.

Dragon Knight for PC-98 is an astounding game both graphically and sound-wise. It is brutal as hell though. :0

Excited to get my first paycheck so I can get Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 1 through 3 on GameCube. Can't wait to work on Nostalgia Glasses episode 2. Sad thing is I can't even remember when I have to turn in my time card...

Ive been looking at composite sync separator circuits along with the typical R-Y/B-Y stuff and it seems like I could get component video out of most anything with enough effort. The only problem as mentioned above is that it would be 240p I think. I could buy an upscaler, but on the other hand I want everything to be built in to the system. At that point, I may as well start learning FPGA design (like I keep meaning to do) and go all the way for HDMI!
No point in starting fresh when there are developed options.

After chatting with you and a couple of others here, I actually started playing Alter Code: F the other day. Was the only game in the series I hadn't played yet. Kinda nostalgic to go back to the first Wild ARMs's world after all these years, even if I'm a bit iffy on a lot of the changes in the remake so far.
