Remember playing the first one once upon a time. Then FF7 came out and never finished it![]()
Yeah, it's been well over ten years now since I played it, but I remember there being absolutely tons of optional stuff to do. I never really bothered with most of it either (I rarely do, even in games I really like), but my cousin sank a very substantial amount of time into all of it.Glad you enjoyed, anyway. :3 Thinking back to it is making me want to replay as well. ^^''
Haha, I played it well after FF7, or I fear the same thing might have happened. :'D It's a nice game, though, even if it wasn't as flashy as many of its contemporaries, and I like that it's one of the few JRPGs that puts in puzzles that are actually an interesting part of the game instead of just an afterthought.Felt like a spiritual successor to Lufia 2 on the SNES in that respect.
Actually, I kinda like the whole WA series.2 is somewhat marred by one of the worst RPG localisations of its generation (seriously, some of it is barely even readable), and 4, XF, and 5 (particularly the former two) lean a wee bit too heavily on the generic anime tropes for my tastes, but they're all lots of fun just the same, and I thought it was a pretty consistent series all things considered.
Would like to see it come back in some form.
