I could upgrade the battery (and change the back plate to a deeper one) plus pull out the HDD and swap it for a CF adaptor & CF to dual micro SD adaptor

The old yt algorithms would recommend things based on total views by video and channel. So if you watched just a minute of one of his dozens of videos he was tossing up you moved him up the ranks. Which meant more curious clicks. And so on and so on.
The new system goes by a combination of watch time and subscriptions iirc. It's much harder to game.

The new algorithym is also shit, which focuses more on entertainment companies and shit like that from what I read. Smaller YouTubers, even people with 200k or so are getting fucked. Lots of people aren't seeing their videos, and if they want to they have to click a little bell to be notified about it. Kinda shitty.
