Being able to patch console games through the console was the beginning of the end. I know there were stealth patches on subsequent pressings/cart rereleases back in the day but companies didn't typically ship out broken games and it seems to happen all the time now. I had a game breaking bug in RDR before I patched it, don't remember if I posted about that here.

Define plenty of sales. I mean...LRG gets enough sales of mostly total rubbish games to stay in business. I don't think that's a very good indicator especially when the people involved are wanting it to succeed and are willing to accept low profits.
