It's dead, Jim.
Spoiler warning:
Possibly, but my reply was based on the assumption that you don't have the skills necessary to fix it regardless. You wouldn't be asking otherwise.
Easier to just replace it, PS2 consoles are cheap or even free if you know enough people that throw unwanted stuff away regularly.
Spoiler warning:
Yeah, but the problem is that I have almost no money. I would replace the console (and move the modchip into the new one) if I was capable of doing that considering my financial state. I opened it up and saw that it does actually get power in it, and by looking in there it seems as it is completely fine judging by my eyes, but that definetely isn't the case here, so any help (even if i don't have the skills) would be really appreciated. Also, thanks for the fast reply! 😀
Moving the modchip to another console isn't an easy process at all. In my experience PS2 modchips would have to be one of the most difficult mods to perform...there are multiple wires, you need fine point soldering skills and a decent iron.
Without spending any money all I can suggest is if you know someone that has the same power supply to try that.
Other than that you will need money to either get someone to fix the problem you have atm (if possible), or get another console and have the chip moved to that.
Spoiler warning:
OK, i will do that. Thanks for the help!
