Hey its still classed as anime
I dislike that show so much, and it is so highly rated too, I just don't see it.
Stuff watching this season
Bungou Stray Dogs
Joker Game
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
Kiznaiver
Terra Formars: Revenge
The Lost Village
From the first two episodes, Terra Formars/Lost Village look to be pretty meh. Joker Game/Stray Dogs had decent first episodes. Iron Fortress was the most interesting by far, gave off a strong Attack on Titan vibe.
Kiznaiver premieres tomorrow night, show looks to have an interesting premise, hopefully it delivers.
Its still not the worst out there, the art is ok, and I like anime with gore just not constant in your face axe-murderer gore.
Hey its still classed as anime
I found another anime I need on my shelf,
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
It's good to see I'm not the only person in the world Elfen Lied didn't click with.
Been watching:
The Berserk CG films. Mostly a rehash of the old school anime, but I'm not one to ever complain about anything Berserk.
Knights of Sidonia.
and rewatching Gundam: 08TH MS Team for the billionth time.
I'm going to return to this thread in one month. Anyone who has not watched The Seven Deadly Sins by then is banned. From the internet. Also now that I'm through with that I'm re-watching Ghost in the Shell, currently halfway through SAC.
Just finished Seven Deadly Sins last night, gave it a go because of Panda Man's post. That's gotta be one of the best shows out there. Netflix is kicking ass with their anime.
Just watched Mayoiga (The Lost Village).
Stuff I'm watching this season
Battery
Food Wars! Season 2
Hitori no Shita: The Outcast
Mob Psycho 100
Orange
Qualidea Code
Taboo-Tattoo
Also watched ReLIFE, as all 13 episodes were released at the same time. It looks to be the best of the season for me anyways.
The Outcast & Qualidea Code I'm probably going to drop if their 3rd episodes don't show any improvement
Taboo-Tattoo seems just like a run of the mill people with superpowers fight each other
Battery is hard to judge, only one episode so far.
And for being the "most hyped" anime of this season as Crunchyroll has put it, Mob Psycho is a letdown. The art is terrible, but that should be expected I guess from the guy who created One Punch Man, and the damn premise of the show is just another overpowered guy with no friends, so OPM, but not as funny, or good action scenes.
Orange & Food Wars! are at the top of my list so far.
I picked up the show Sweetness & Lightning from this season, it is rated highly and I've been on slice of life animes recently but I don't really see why people like it so much after the first 4 episodes.
I dropped Hitori no shita: the outcast, just straight terrible.
Other stuff I've watched
Silver Spoon (both seasons)
Flying Witch
Kokoro Connect
Punch Line
Kids on the Slope
People don't know what they want with live action. It follows reason that anime fans are similar and some shows will get viewership because they're discussed a lot .
I'm going to watch Ghost Stories (the dub, of friggin' course) again sometime soon.
I haven't been impressed by the animation in anything from recent years. It seems doubtful that any site would review older shows well after airing unless they decided to start a column for it.
Edit: Only watching dubs significantly cuts down the number of shows I can watch. My impressions on animation quality are from a fairly limited pool as a result.
