^^ that's EXACTLY what went through my head at the start of it all...
as far back as i recall, mid eighties.
i was around for the miners strikes and pickets, got bloody, and the self-interested won hands down.
my old man was part of that problem, he used to kick doors in on account of political affiliations and terrorize the locals.
