I made a save state and then installed and configured the adapter. When I started the emulation, there was simply a black screen and no audio indicating the logo video. I tried loading the save state to success, but when I selected quit in the options menu instead of returning me to the main menu, I was given a black screen with no audio. I tried reverting to the previous graphics adapter also to no avail. I have tried restarting my computer and the emulator multiple times.

My specs are:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
I7-4790k processor
AMD R9-390 GPU (manufactured by Strix)
8GB of RAM
Game is installed on a 2TB HDD (my OS is installed on a 250GB SSD)

Thank you for any input given,

Don't use a savestate as the emulator will save the settings as well which will mess things up if you switch plugins etc if you try continuing from it.

Start off fresh.
