I had a think about it and I'm pretty sure my NV survival speedrun was a female build, I think I used the black widow perk to kill Benny. That character was setup for dialogue options and speech success over anything else so I could run through the whole game quickly avoiding combat to clean up the last trophy I needed.
I'm happy enough using what gear I have atm with a male build in Fallout 4, the only trophy that required some work was the settlement happiness one and I don't recall reading anything anywhere about a female build making any difference for that.

Went through Ecclesia with Albus, now I'm playing Portrait of Ruin with Jonathan and Charlotte. Might replay it with another character, not sure yet.
