I'm going on a month without a connection at home and the lazy sods still haven't gotten out here to solve it.

I haven't had any interaction with Trurip so I can't say. A friend is getting grief about relaying my questions to Redump when signups are closed and they can't be bothered to maintain their own uploads. Add the disjointed nature of the guides and other information on top of it and it comes up asinine .

^^ oddly, did have an account a few years ago there (amiga1200) so i could get the latest dat tables for ALL, and fill any blanks i may have at the time.
i can't say what happened, account was lost, and it seems a regular account upkeep was enforced, by hash and ringcode submission. (balls to that! my own time, they're not bloody KRAFTWERK with that punchcard crap.)
i'll take you word for it and then some, the methods of dumping compact disks vary too much, no set standard that fits all. (bin/img, HINT)

Redump is not elitist, reason the registration is turned off is all the jackasses registering ONLY to download dumps that are not there.

Flooding the servers and the headhonchos got tired of it and if you want to actually help you need to get invited in via the irc or another method, leechers looking for romz are not welcome.

Dreamcast TOSEC is missing data on the audio tracks so its kinda moot at this point, Falserip as well as they alter the dumps so there is NOTHING true about "tru" rip.
