Ah good I'll probably try solo. Yeah games like that can be harder that way but there's more sense of accomplishment. I did all of Sniper Elite III solo on highest difficulty, it worked out being less complicated 'cos you can clean up co-op on lower difficulty so it doesn't matter how good/bad your partner is (you can do everything co-op for trophies).

SE III can be rather tense playing like that. Enemies can use submachine guns (mp40s) across the map with sniper rifle accuracyAnd you need to take as many people out silently with a knife, or headshot kills. Also wind/bullet drop but no indicators on highest difficulty (more reasons why co-op isn't a good idea, even if you partner plays shooters...he has to be decent at playing this game to be reliable).

There is a free update coming out sometime in a few weeks that has something called Incursions, there is only one spot for it on the current map so it might just be one, but I think that is supposed to be like raid style missions. I'm curious how they will do those. Probably more bullet sponges

So is Dark Zone co-op only?

No.
The Dark Zone is just areas of New York that have been blocked off because of the virus. There are six sections, which each is like the size of about 3 blocks x 5 blocks. The zones actually scale to your level somewhat, so since I'm a max normal level of 30, my zones are two level 30s, two level 31s, and to level 32s. I know I went in for the first time when I was like level 13 and the zone I was in was level 10s.

And if you play co-op it's only with players around the same level? Just wondering how the scaling works.

I don't think there is a level restriction to joining a group. I do know if you bump the story missions up to hard difficulty it will scale the enemies to the highest member in the group. No idea about how the dark zone would work, I would imagine it wouldnt let a high level player into a low level players since then you could just kill other low level people for fun.
Also as you level up the enemies in each zone increase in level, so even though I could go back to the very first area of New York you start in, the enemies there would be like level 25 instead of level 1s and such.
