    Gateway 842GM Specs

(In JG Hertzler's voice) (You know, General Martok from Deep Space Nine)

It a glorious day for the Empire, my brothers and sisters. This miserable top'agh of a computer, that my ex-mother-in-law purchased for me and my ex-wife no less than 9 years ago, finally lost its power supply unit! It died screaming for mercy, my friends. Its cries were heard by Fek'lahr himself! May it rot in Gripthorr!!

To celebrate the demise of this useless piece of patakgh, I purchased THIS:

(Originally I linked to newegg, but I got the last one, so they took down the spec sheet)

HP Compaq 8000 Elite CMT Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo at 3.0 Ghz

    250 gb Hard Drive

    64 bit Windows 7 Professional

    etc etc

It did not come with a monitor! I did not need one! Its graphics and sound processors were nothing, nothing! No matter! I stripped the 842GM of the custom gpu and spu that I'd purchased for it years ago! The gpu was compatible, but the spu crashed my operating system. I tell you, many lowly jaa-chuks suffered because of my wrath! But my hearts swelled with joy, still for the Realtek integrated spu would be enough for my needs.

Now, for only slightly more money than the repairs on my 9 year old computer would have been, I have one twice as fast, twice as powerful! May the glory of the Empire continue forever! May the songs be sung of the mighty migration of Steam apps and Humble Bundle games!

    QUAP'LAA!!
