I've known about the bullshit since day one, only a idiot wouldn't notice there was some bullshit going on when they said it was a "free" upgrade.
I was using linux for a few years slowly learning but when the shit hit the fan I sped up the process entirely.
Its not THAT hard really, just make sure your hardware is supported , mainly the video card and use the proprietary drivers and away you go.
