I think the most recent game I played that was censored was South Park The Stick of Truth.
The censoring was funny in itself.

They don't allow swastikas in their games at all.

Some stuff is still edited here but not as much as it was when we only had MA as the highest rating.
Anyway, as I said, you can import here and the law doesn't really give a fuck. Or just pirate everything and the law doesn't really care either, it only cares if you try to openly make money from piracy like at local markets and shit.
Ah, so its not that prominent nowadays?

Yeah it still happens and some games have been reclassified since the R18+ rating came in.
If you're curious have a look through this:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...s_in_Australia

The "banned" list has quite a few games that are actually available now.
Really to be refused classification (aka banned), or edited and resubmitted (aka censored) a game would need to have blatant drug use, sex (not all sex but usually violent, rape or incentive based crap), extreme realistic violence and/or torture.

Some games weren't only edited here, they were edited worldwide...eg: Fallout 3 originally had morphine but was changed to med-x.

Anyway you can still buy shit on ebay and sometimes even buy used imports from EB Games (I have) The law doesn't really care, it's all semi-fake censoring by the government to appease do-gooders.

    Voting is compulsory here btw.

South Park The Stick of Truth read this:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_...uth#Censorship

So we were just 1 country among several that got a censored version, and Germany got the most heavily censored version in the world.
PC version wasn't affected here at all afaik, just the console versions were censored.

    Combat was really simple
I rarely play games with turn based combat like that now but I didn't find it difficult at all

Don't think it was an actual decision as such, probably just overlooked the PC version (maybe it's just the steam version specifically, idk and don't care tbh).
Yes it's pretty much mostly adults that buy PC games here, if kids have PC games they probably pirate them. Pirating stuff for PC is easy.

Those kids will never know the joy of holding a awesome DRM FREE PC game box.........

(Warrior looks at his shelf with Unreal Anthology/Unreal Tournament III/Posta Collection/Dungeon Siege LOA and Darkstone on it)

Many kids don't have much respect for physical games at all. I mean look at all the cart only Nintendo games at EB.
