that's cool got there way earlier than I expected. yeah the battery cover tab broke so I "fixed it" the paint job sucked cause I used plain black spray paint.

Yeah I saw the electrical tape. XD It doesn't matter at all though. I gave it to my friend early and he is really enjoying it. I'm guessing those Atari games won't show up until after Christmas but maybe you will get lucky.

looks like my external dvd drive is on it's last legs it ruined one of my dvd's and it's been going idle during playback. makes me mad but I have had the thing for several years and used the hell out of it.

My working Plextor is decent too but Plextors are normally like a old beatup volkswagon.

I was using a LG slimline from 2012. I have literally used it every day since my internal drive took a crap like 6 months(or maybe a year I know it was before my warranty was up) after I bought my laptop

The hell were you running in the thing?

If you are gonna run the same disc alot you should just rip it with imgburn or something, better for the disc and drive in the long run by running it mounted.

If its a music CD I suggest the nightly builds of Free:ac, that is a bitchin audio ripper/converter.

I just run dvds of stuff I have backed up saves me hdd space.

I run shit if necessary in my desktops generic crap drive, stuff for dumping only in my Plextor (those bastards are expensive as hell and the pre 2007 drives are the only ones that can properly dump a mixed cd)
and my Sony if I need to run something on another PC.

So were they just burned DVDs with anime encodes on them or somethin?

burned dvds with shows and movies. my anime that I have backed up I usually rip form the dvds so I can queue them up in my media player.

Vidcoder is pretty nice for that but there are other open source alternatives.
