You can screw with it to make it somewhat less strenuous on the CPU.

I know that. thats why I have been messing around with settings and encoders to see what works best. the app I'm using just seems to be a bit of a resource hog so I want something a bit lighter on my system that has some of the same features as debut does.Not every program will just read your mind and make the process as simple as possible ya know.

Gotta search, alternative.net is nice but not all programs are featured, I stumble on alot of nifty ones from random searches like that encoder I linked ya to before, seems to be faster than vidcoder which is based on handbreak, one of the most popular encoder programs.
