Planescape Torment is one of the most text heavy rpgs ever, and it's western, maybe you've heard of it?

And loads of the Black Isle games have way more text than your average jrpg. More meaningful text for sure... Mass Effect has loads of plot as well.

Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX and that your video card drivers are up to date.

I've had a heap of old stuff on my Xbox for years, but now I'm just looking and grabbing some titles for my DS and PSP.
Already done NES and GB/GBC for DS. Grabbed a few SNES to try out on PSP, now looking at GBA and then some other platforms.

I just grab complete sets unless its huge like NDS.

It isn't a waste of time. On Xbox with a huge HDD it's fine to have a load of roms you never use, but on PSP and DS I prefer to just stick to what I might possibly look at.
No sports games, barbie, hello kitty and total bullshit like that. I am getting some odd jrpgs but not everything.
