I'm kinda in a slump after getting to a certain returning character in Xillia 2 and her voice sounds nothing like the original VA, supposed to sound like a young girl and sounds...........really really bad.

Sounded very fitting in the first Xillia and then..........this, well the Tales series is dead to me now, kinda how Final Fantasy died after 9.

I don't recall there being a big list of localized PSX RPGs, have you got to Xenogears yet?

Tales of Phantasia is fantastic too, can't wait for the PSP enhanced port to get finished translating from Absolute Zero Translations, they did a Grade A job on the PSX remake.

I have played xenogears but stopped shortly into disc 2 the first half of the game was great the second half took alot of fun out of the game moving from one dungeon to the next with no overworld exploration.

PSX/PSP remakes of Phantasia is where its at man, the SNES original is pretty far off from the original concept the creator had in mind.

Never did beat Alundra, game confused the hell out of me and everyone was dropping like flies..........am I winning?

Has a more upbeat atmosphere and not dark and depressing like Alundra 1...........and Alundra 2 does not look like pea soup.

I tend to like darker games. Arc II for instance. Completely awesome game.

The Xenosaga games are pretty much complete garbage too. I mean...where do you even begin there?

Xenogears is way better than most of what Japan is producing now though. My word. Japan loves their tropes and they only know one way to do them and that's straight as a razor's edge with zero self awareness most of the time. Meanwhile America is making games like Mass Effect. I wonder who is winning.

Thank square for disc 2, they gave the original creator and his dev team a limited budged and a strict deadline, but even with a shitty second half it still is a very decent experience.
