On a gaming note, I'm disappointed in Nintendo.
Was on the Pii U and wanted a nice RPG, because I seemed to recall the company was ok with the RPG scene and third party developers. Jump on the eShop only for the store to direct me to the 3DS eShop, where all the good RPG titles are. See, these are the reasons people think Nintendo will fail.

Nintendo are unlikely to fail as there will always be children, and parents that buy things for them.

You can line up with death threats and the like, but I was never a LotR fan. I do acknowledge the trilogy is what some would call epic.

But I was trying to justify the Wii U in my search. My 3DS has miles of games I'm itching to play... The Wii U, maybe three. That's my problem.

I get that. Its just the RPGs that are also targeted towards children (and teens) are nonexistent on that tablet-console combo. It's just a gripe I've had as of late.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is supposedly nice on Wii U. More of a pirate rpg than assassin/stealth game.
I've only played it on PS3 but it is nice.

Some people have said it looks better on Wii U (higher resolution) compared to PS3/360, and then others note there are frame rate drops sometimes But I'm pretty sure that happens with the other 2 consoles anyway (like combat with a heap of people at once). Gamepad can be used for some things, I think I read one guy saying you can play the whole game just using it but I haven't checked that out to see if it's correct.

$20 for the game + all released DLC is the best snipe of my life.
