Lol, you're obviously not playing the right Cave shmups then.Mars Matrix is awesome though, I used to be pretty good at it, but it's been a while since I played it.
I've been playing more Toaplan shmups lately, specifically Fire Shark for the Genesis.

I don't get it with Cave shmups man. They aren't that hard to me. You are fast and small enough (for what can be hit) that it's pretty easy really.

I bought Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker and have been playing it a lot lately. On the 6th day of the Septentrione Arc.

That's cool, so you liking it so far then? I have the first one on 3DS, and played it a bit, but not nearly enough. It seemed pretty cool from what I played though. Actually haven't played an RPG for quite some time, I mainly stick to arcade games nowadays it seems.

Very fun, although like the first game maxing Magic makes it really easy to go through most battles. Unless there's a huge difficulty spike on the last day like the first one I'd say this one is overall easier due to the fate system giving your allies free resistances.
